"Kicks all kinds of ass, plain and simple. The album is so full of dark, speedy and incredibly heavy power metal that the riffs practically spill out of the speakers. Unadulterated Heavy Metal goodness, my first "highly recommended" album of the year"
— Metal Crypt

Paragon was formed in 1990 by guitarist Martin Christian in Hamburg, Germany. After some demos and a self-release "Into The Black" (mini Cd, 1994) they release debut album "World of Sin" in 1995 with Blue Merle. Shortly after Blue Merle went bankrupt and Martin decided to put the band on hold. About two years later he found four new members to start again: Andreas Babuschkin (vocals), Jan Bünning (bass), Markus Corby (drums), Claudius Cremer (guitar).
They release "Final Command" (1998) followed by "Chalice of Steel" (1999), both on B.O. Records and well appreciated by fans and media, giving the band the chance to play at Wacken Open Air smaller stage. In 2000 they sign a deal with Remedy Records, starting a long-time collaboration also for next albums with Piet Sielck (Iron Savior) and releasing three successful albums, "Steelbound" (2001) "Law of the Blade" (2002) and "The Dark Legacy" (2003). Then several european tours soon followed with high profile acts such as Iron Savour and Gamma Ray, also they played at all of the biggest european festivals, reaching to perform on the main stage of the Wacken Open Air Festival in front of 48,000 diehard metalheads. Then they release "Revenge" (2005) and "Forgotten Prophecies" (2007) both still with Remedy Records followed by "Screenslaves" (without long-time bass player Jan Bünning) out with Massacre in 2008.
In 2010 founder Martin Christian decided to leave Paragon but was firm in his belief the band should push forward.
This led to the recruitment of Wolfgang Tewes and the addition of 2nd guitarist Jan Bertram. With new blood in the band, Jan comeback on bass and a renewed sense of energy, they returned to the stage and also began the songwriting for the new album, this time for Napalm.
In May they enter Piet Sielck’s studio to record their 10th album "Force of Destruction"(2012), which saw a return to a more aggressive style. After the very successful "German Metal Attack" tour with Grave Digger, the band played shows in Greece, Germany, Wales, Austria and Denmark.
New albums, some line-up changes but the same unmuted passion and energy in "Hell Beyond Hell" (2015, Remedy) celebrating band's 25th anniversary, "Controlled Demolition" (2019, Massacre) and "Metalation" delayed due to pandemic (2024, Massacre).
"Force of Destruction" is available on Lp for the first time, featuring Kai Hansen and Piet Sielck as special guests on "Blood & Iron".
