I Mr. Sinister sono una band di heavy metal classico formata a Houston (Texas) nel 1991 dal leader Ken Catarineau (chitarra e voce) che si inserisce immediatamente nel circuito dei club texani dediti alle sonorità hard & heavy.
La band registra e autoproduce un demo di 4 tracce nel 1992 intitolato "Sinfully Yours" e lo ristampa con una nuova formazione ad eccezione di Ken nel 1993 aggiungendo altre 4 canzoni nel tentativo di attirare l'attenzione delle etichette discografiche. Non riuscendoci nel 1996 autoproducono il debutto "Screaming Bloody Murder" che ottiene buoni consensi in ambito underground ed il successivo "Sonic Overdrive" nel 1998, anticipato dall' Ep "This Way to Hell", entrambi ancora autoprodotti.
Il gruppo appartiene alla fitta schiera di band underground della scena americana dei primi anni '90 che nonostante un ottimo potenziale tecnico non riusci' ad emergere. Questa ristampa esce come tributo ed in onore di Kenny, scomparso in tragiche circostanze nel 2000. Dedicata a Kenny e Paul. Disponibile per la prima volta in Lp e ristampata in Cd, entrami i formati con 4 bonus tracks.
Mr. Sinister is a classic heavy metal band formed in Houston, Texas, in 1991 by frontman Ken Catarineau (guitar and vocals). The group immediately integrated into the Texan club circuit dedicated to hard & heavy sounds. In 1992 they recorded a self-produced 4-track demo titled "Sinfully Yours". They reissued it in 1993 featuring a completely new line-up, with the sole exception of Ken, and added 4 more tracks in an effort to catch the attention of record labels. Having failed to secure a deal, they self-released their debut album "Screaming Bloody Murder" in 1996, which gained positive feedback within the underground scene. This was followed by "This Way to Hell" in 1997 and by "Sonic Overdrive" in 1998 both were also self-produced. The group belongs to the vast ranks of early '90s American underground bands that, despite outstanding technical potential, never managed to break through. This reissue is released as a tribute and in honor of Kenny, who passed away under tragic circumstances in 2000. Dedicated to Kenny and Paul. Available on Lp for the first time and reissued on Cd, both formats featuring 4 bonus tracks.
